A collection of all the stuff I am bombarded with every day on Facebook and email and Twitter and so forth. Almost all of it is stuff that was sent to me and I did not request. I don't know where most of it came from other than the person that dropped it on me.

PEANUT BRITTLE
PEANUT BRITTLE
½ cup dark corn syrup
¼ cup each molasses and sugar
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup salted peanuts
1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
Cook first 4 ingredients until blended. Stir in peanuts, boil until a small amount of mixture separates in hard threads when dropped into cold water. (280 degrees -candy thermometer.)
Stir in soda ,pour into a buttered shallow pan. When firm, break into pieces. This ll makes about 9 ounces. Double for more, use 2 shallow pans.
