PEANUT BRITTLE
PEANUT BRITTLE½ cup dark corn syrup¼ cup each molasses and sugar2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup salted peanuts
1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
Cook first 4 ingredients until blended. Stir in peanuts, boil until a small amount of mixture separates in hard threads when dropped into cold water. (280 degrees -candy thermometer.)
Stir in soda ,pour into a buttered shallow pan. When firm, break into pieces. This ll makes about 9 ounces. Double for more, use 2 shallow pans.
