  2. I don't understand why you have "For Women Only" and "For Men Only" sections. It seems like many of these apply to both. The first men's one is a bit sexist, "Leave work on time and come home early." Is this making the assumption that only the man works? I know a lot of women who work and whose husbands are stay-at-home dads. There are also many couples where both parents work. Does this not apply to them?

    1. Rebecca, the author of the post titled it How to Make Your Marriage Rock, not How to Keep Trying to Make Life Work the Way You Want It to Work, Even Through It Doesn't Actually Work That Way.

I don't know that I like that the author broke them into different groupings either, but maybe there was a reason. Perhaps they felt that different genders find different things challenging in a relationship.

Heaven forbid I get labeled sexist by saying this, but men and women are very different.

25 pennies are equal to a quarter. Nonetheless, the former generally does not work very easily in a gum ball machine that requires twenty-five cents.

Equal does not mean the same. Different does not mean inferior.

A garden rake and a hoe are both very valuable garden tools. You can hoe your garden with a garden rake, which I have done from time to time, but it is not what the garden rake was designed for. Trying to make the garden rake do what it what not designed for makes life harder. It can be done, but the outcome is less than desired and life is more difficult.
